Marine Lithium Batteries Australia is written and maintained by Gabriel and powered by YouSail.com.au. Its purpose is to help Australian boat owners ask better questions, understand system-level trade-offs and prepare for conversations with competent marine electrical professionals.

The site does not sell batteries. Educational independence does not make the information infallible: the disclaimer explains that advice, calculations, images and external sources can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular vessel.

Source hierarchy

Technical and regulatory claims should be supported, where possible, by current primary material in this order:

1. legislation, regulators and official standards information;
2. manufacturer installation manuals, datasheets and warranty documents;
3. recognised classification, testing and technical bodies;
4. clearly identified calculations from published inputs; and
5. secondary explanations used only when a primary source does not answer the question.

Calculations and examples

Calculators expose their assumptions and should provide planning estimates rather than false precision. Inputs entered by readers are not independently verified. Worked examples state the relevant voltage, power, time, efficiency or reserve assumptions so another person can reproduce the result.

When a decision depends on equipment limits, the current manufacturer instructions and vessel-specific design override a generic example.

Product and brand coverage

Manufacturer-stated specifications are attributed to current official documents and dated when entered into comparison data. Missing fields remain “not stated” rather than being inferred from similar models.
